Poker Content
For online poker content case studies, see below.
I’ve been creating poker content since my university days, but I started playing in 2001.
While studying, I set up the Dundee University Poker Society, which I chaired for three years.
Although I don’t play so much these days, I still write strategy guides and site reviews.
The following case studies show samples of my work. Like what you see? Contact me to discuss your poker content requirements.
Poker Content Case Studies
CASE STUDY 01
Poker School
Natural8, Asia’s biggest online poker room, is part of the GGPoker network. In November 2021, I was asked to contribute two blog posts to their new “Poker School” site.
This turned into a regular gig that ran until February 2024. The vast majority of the posts were about poker strategy, with a variety of topics to suit all skill levels.
I also wrote guest posts now and then, describing my experience of playing on the site and discussing promotions. These appeared on sites like PokerNews.
CASE STUDY 02
ClickOut Media
In less than a year, I produced more than 300,000 words for ClickOut Media. Roughly three-quarters of that work focused on poker.
The most common request was long-form “Best Poker Sites in X” guides of 3,500 to 5,000 words. These covered dozens of US states, plus countries as far-flung as Malaysia and Singapore. I also wrote “How to Play” guides, etiquette guides and poker glossaries.
Most of my bylines have been removed, but I have all of the original documents.
These case studies show just a few examples of my poker content. You can see different types of iGaming article on my showcase page, or get in touch to request further samples.
